Intensify the impact of face-to-face communication through inspiring narratives, spoken with an authentic voice
Our vision is to enable our clients to carry a powerful narrative and speak with passion, clarity and authenticity.
We teach the Rodenburg™ Presence, Voice and Speech techniques developed by the world-renowned voice and presence coach Patsy Rodenburg OBE, Emeritus Head of Voice, Royal Shakespeare Company, and our work is rooted in a deep understanding of professional and business environments.
Aidan Elliott, Kilke John and Lisa Walden founded YourVoice after amassing over 60 years’ combined communications experience working both within and as external consultants to brands, Government and major UK and international businesses – from PepsiCo to HSBC.
We live and work in environments where communication has become a constant, noisy, fast-paced and often overwhelming stream.
And whilst AI has a role to play in the creation of messages and narratives, and is profoundly changing the way we connect, it cannot replicate the unique quality of human connection.
When an individual has presence and speaks audibly, clearly and authentically, they connect with an audience and something special happens; they build trust. This forms the basis for a leader’s communication to influence, inspire and instigate change.
-
An effective voice is fully supported by enough breath to enable the thought to be communicated.
Breath is the product of a body that is free of unnecessary tension – because tension reduces the quality of the voice.
That’s why we have a series of unique techniques that:
Expand and control the amount of breath taken
Remove tension
Ensure the voice is audible and clear
-
What’s the story? Translating strategies into conversations
We start with the narrative – what the speaker wants the audience to know and feel. And we ask: ‘So what?’ Why should people listen to the message, what’s in it for them?
We work with clients on a speech or presentation, using proven story-telling techniques – some of which are over two thousand years-old – to ensure a message is heard, is persuasive, and that it incites a reaction.
-
An audience hears, trusts and connects with a message when a speaker harnesses the full power of presence, body, breath and voice.
At the same time, the speaker must speak authentically – believing in, rather than just speaking their lines.
-
Human Presence is a universal quality we all have, but is often locked away in our bodies and breath.
Using the techniques and exercises developed by Patsy Rodenburg, we enable clients to access the Three Circles of Energy™.
We then help them to operate in Second Circle™; the most powerful and creative way to interact, whether speaking on stage, in a boardroom, team meeting or presenting online.
